OKC Lawn Rx
Weed control Del City is for weeds in a maintained residential lawn, and for what the City itself requires. OKC Lawn Rx is a lawn treatment company, not the City. Call or text 405-526-4481. Nothing is booked until you agree.

Six visits a yearThree visits for weed control and pre-emergent. Three visits for fertilizing and spot weed treatment.
The City’s 12-inch ruleDel City says grass is a public nuisance at 12 inches or more. A spray visit does not mow that growth down.
Not the CityNotices, fines, and hazardous-waste drop-off are City business. Treatment questions come to 405-526-4481.
Weed control Del City on this page is maintained residential turf in Del City. The City publishes its own rules for tall grass, clippings in the street, and leftover lawn chemicals. Those rules are quoted below. We do not write notices, set fines, or take household hazardous waste.
Share the street address so we can say whether this property is on the route. The broader hire page for a Del City address is lawn treatment in Del City. This page does not repeat that service-area copy. City weed notes for the neighboring cities are on weed control Oklahoma City and weed control Midwest City.
OKC Lawn Rx also offers lawn treatment in Oklahoma City.
The City’s Code Enforcement page says: “Grass is considered a public nuisance when it reaches a height of 12 inches or more.”
The same page says city ordinance requires property owners to maintain all vegetation from the street curb or pavement edge, even though this area is part of the public right-of-way. It says trees and shrubs must be pruned to avoid obstructing traffic or damaging vehicles.
On how long a public nuisance takes, the page says the City gives the property owner a set amount of time to rectify the issue or appeal. It says: “Typically, this process takes around three weeks from the reporting of a nuisance to its resolution.” The same answer says the abatement and demolition of dilapidated buildings follow a different procedure under state law, which can take several months. The three-week line is about the nuisance process the page describes. It is not a promise about every case, and it is not an OKC Lawn Rx response time.
If the issue remains unresolved, the page says the city may step in to rectify it and assess the costs as a tax lien on the property. It says that in some cases Municipal Court citations may be issued, “with fines up to $750 for each day the violation persists.”
Code Enforcement lists its address as 3701 SE 15th St., Del City, OK 73115, and its phone as 405-677-5741 ext. 7379. The department hours on that page are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. That address and phone are the City’s. OKC Lawn Rx is 405-526-4481.
The Code Enforcement page lists common complaints. One of them is “stormwater quality violations (including grass in the street).”
The City’s Stormwater Management page says stormwater is not treated before it reaches local waterways. It lists pollutants that runoff can carry, including chemicals, fertilizers, and grass clippings. The page says: “ONLY RAIN BELONGS IN THE STORM DRAIN.”
Under how residents can help, that page says to keep leaves, grass clippings, and trash out of storm drains, to dispose of chemicals and household hazardous waste properly, and to use fertilizers and pesticides responsibly. It also says never dump anything into a storm drain. Questions about stormwater go to the City at 405-677-5741 ext. 7318.
The City’s Sanitation page says: “All trash must be bagged and placed inside the polykart(s). This includes household waste, grass clippings, and any other debris.” It also says loose materials are not permitted.
The Sanitation page says: “Del City has a signed agreement with the City of Midwest City for the safe disposal of unwanted or expired hazardous products by calling (405) 739-1049 to set up an appointment.”
Midwest City Household Hazardous Waste says services are available by appointment only. Del City is on its list of cities with an agreement to use the facility. Acceptable items include “Fertilizers, Pesticides, and Lawn Care.” The page lists the drop-off as the Charles J. Johnson Building, 8726 SE 15th St., Midwest City, OK 73110. Call 405-739-1049 to set the appointment. That is the City’s number, not OKC Lawn Rx.
The page’s hours, under “HOURS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY,” are quoted here as they read on October 22, 2026:
Confirm those hours on the City page before you go. The page says city personnel unload the vehicle, and that commercial and industrial waste is not accepted.
A full treatment plan is six visits a year — not a one-time spray. Three visits are weed control and pre-emergent. Three visits are fertilizing and spot weed treatment. No weekly mowing, aeration, or overseeding is currently offered. This page does not name a product and does not set a spray date.
Stay off the grass until it is dry. After fertilizing, water within 24–48 hours if you can, and do not mow until the fertilizer has been watered in. Yards that are new to spray usually need more than one treatment. Heavy weeds can take a full season. On a full treatment plan, call 405-526-4481 if something pops up between regular visits and we can come by to spot spray.
A spray visit does not cut the grass. If the lawn is already at the City’s 12-inch nuisance height, mowing is a different job, and it is not a job this shop does.
These are typical local per-visit ranges, not a locked price list. A small lawn is about a $50 minimum. About a half acre is about $135–$150. About one acre is about $225–$250. Harder yards cost more. Easier multi-acre yards can be less per acre. We confirm the final price after we see the property.

No. Weed control and fertilization are the work. No weekly mowing, aeration, or overseeding is currently offered. A spray visit does not cut the grass. It does not bring a lawn under the City’s 12-inch height by mowing it.
